Deadpool Cameo got to spend some quality time with a very big fan in Isabella!
If a kid MUST be in the hospital for Halloween, DP Cameo will be sure she has a smile on her face!
It turns out that Isabella is a HUGE Deadpool fan and when she heard that he may be making an appearance at the hospital, she had a special request. She asked if Deadpool Cameo could personally escort her “trick-or-treating” through the hospital on Halloween.
Isabella is such a special young lady. Her life was changed after a fire-pit explosion on St. Patrick’s Day and she has been in the burn unit ever since. She inspires those around her with her strength and courage, but she is still fun and silly and makes lots of friends. She is a bit of a local celebrity finding herself the topic of many news stories and frequently enjoying special visitors. Earlier in the year, she had to miss a concert appearance from one of her favorite performers, Taylor Swift. The pop star heard of Isabella’s story and made a special visit to the hospital to spend some time with her!
Comicare has been fortunate enough to visit with Isabella several times during her hospital stay, bringing comic books and superheroes to help pass the time. Word got back to her that Comicare would be bringing some superheroes to celebrate Halloween. When Isabella found out that Comicare had a brand new hero, DEADPOOL, her eyes lit up and she asked if he could accompany her!
Deadpool Cameo was more than happy to accommodate her request! In fact, he stepped in and took over as her chauffeur, pushing her wheelchair for the entirety of the afternoon! They chatted, laughed, told stories, took pictures- they really bonded and became fast friends.
As the day began to wind down, Isabella asked if Deadpool Cameo and the other Comicare superheroes would escort her back to her room. Once there, they all got to relax a bit, share stories and take more photos.
We at COMICARE are always thrilled and humbled to get to spend quality time with special kids like Isabella. There is one thing we like even better- news like THIS:
It looks like Isabella may be able to go home in time for Christmas!
We strive to brighten the day of hospitalized children by delivering comic books and visiting superheroes. We operate mostly in Arizona with occasional trips to neighboring states in the Southwestern U.S.
